at the moment Acronis Disk Director 12 doesn't support Windows 10. But development is working on Windows 10 support implementation and it is expected very soon. However, there is no ETA yet.

Good News, I am in need of a partition resizer and don't want to try anything I'm not familiar with.
I assume there will be a post here when a ADD12 update to a Win 10 compatible build is available, or must I go frequently to my account registration to look for a new build number?? OR, heaven forbid, will it be a NEW VERSION - (ADD13?) - that must be paid for?
In any case, I prefer to keep all disk related functions from one house (Acronis or whom ever) rather than pieces from different software vendors, to avoid possible compatibility risks! (Been there before!)
Any update on ETA? My need for partition reorganizing is growing!

Not to mention, the number of customers who will want to create a separate Win 10 boot partition and find that the unmovable files will prevent resizing the original partition.

I have DD12 installed on two Win 10 Pro 64 bit desktops and it works fine.
What apparently isn't supported is GPT, as I have discovered on my new laptop. DD12 says GPT isn't supported by the OS (Windows 10) which is obviously incorrect, but I cannot perform any operations on the partitions.
DD12 now works fine on Win 10. I just installed the update released on 12-29. It recognizes all my disks. Thank you ACRONIS.
Win 10 64 bit and DD12 - program works but drives show up as unsupported which is why, to some of you, you say the thing works. If you are using an older file system on your drive with Win 10 then sure, it will work for you but if you went with the flow then it wont.
We need a Disk Director update that works with anything Win 10 has to offer, ASAP please. The alternative is some other company's product and I really dont want to do that.

Greg, What unsupported file system are you referring to? My disks are GPT and MBR with NTFS and Fat32. Everything works. Nothing shows 'unsupported'.

Are you joking? If it says unsupported tell me how anyone is supposed to know what it is outside of Microsoft?
As it is unsupported you cannot perform anything whatsoever on it within DD12. I can rename the disk inside Windows but cant even do that simple thing in DD12. It shows as basic GPT but after that, all partitions are unsupported. This machine, using Win 8.1, didnt have that problem in DD12 but in Win 10 it does. It needs to be fixed urgently. I am lucky this is MY machine and not a customer's.
I found something that worked for me, and this was in Windows 10 Home.
I downloaded the recent DD12 update, uninstalled both True Image 2016 and DD12 because I was having problems with TI not able to start tasks, and GPT disks being reported as unsupported.
Then I installed the new version of DD12 and proved it worked ok (which it did), then I re-installed TI 2016 and proved that both worked (which they did).
Seems like the only way to make a clone of windows 10 with DD12 is using the bootable media, I sorta liked cloning discs using 2 USB to Sata cables from my main workstation . It doesn't seem to work with windows 10 that way. I get a error of

With the 3270 patch that was released 12/29/2016. it cloned using bootable media but seems like there are still bugs with Windows 10 in this DD12 software.

There seems to be something fishy here. Some seem to be having problems with unsupported drives - either due to Windows10 and/or GPT drives.
I'm a long time user of DD11 and never had a problem. Indeed it worked fine even after I 'upgraded' from Win7 to 10 (Bios - MBR disks) - no problems.
More recently, though, got new EUFI PC with mainly GPT SSD (but one MBR HDD onboard as well). Can't say I noticed or checked DD11 function but decided to upgrade from DD11 to DD12. Following this upgrade the trial version shows all my GPT disks 'unsupported' whilst the one MBR one seems recognised and OK. Obviously this renders DD useless for me - unless I'm missing something obvious or there are other s/w conficts.
Acronis info suggests DD12 fully compatible with Windows 10 and UEFI systems (presumes GPT disks).
Did check out support pages and found it necessary to actually uninstall previous versions of DD - this I did.
But still trial version of DD12 will not work with my GPT disks in Windows10 (64bit) - shows disks 'unsupported'.
Has anyone else found similar problem with DD12 on newer EUFI GPT machines?

Acronis Disk Director has been tested on Windows 10 (UEFI with GPT disks) and it works fine after Windows upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. So, I suppose the issue is related to the hardware. I will try to test it with all SSD disks I have.

Yes I did uninstall DD12 and attempt re-installation (but only at a second attempt) - however, still shows GPT disks 'unsupported'. May be significant to mention I had NOT earlier uninstalled DD11 nor TrueImage 2016 (recently upgraded from TI2014) - simply installed DD12 trial over the top.
Given both DD and TI work at the deeper layers, am wondering if I ought to have fully uninstalled ALL Acronis products (TI2016 as well as DD2011) prior to attempting upgrade. This was not evident in the support pages and I did NOT do this. Think I may have gummed up the system as far as Acronis DD11/12 is concerned and I have now removed all Disk Director altogether - at least, to the extent I am able to in Windows 10 (control panel - uninstall).
True Image 2016 still seems to be functioning OK so I am reluctant to risk jeopardising this functionality by (blindly) attempting to sort out Disk Director further. I do seem to recall having seen mention of an Acronis 'clean up' tool somewhere which might be a way forward prior to re-installation of BOTH DD12 & TI2016. Please advise if this is worth a try and point me to safe download site for this utility if such does actually exist.
One final point may be worth adding: prior to attempting upgrade from DD11 to DD12 I had (SUCCESSFULLY) partitioned and renamed an external 5GB Seagate Disk attached via USB3 (GPT) - using DD11!!! . However, now, following attempted 'upgrade' from DD11 to DD12 could then no longer do anything with this external drive - now reported by DD12 as 'unsupported'.
Having now read some of the negative reviews of DD for those of us not technically expert I am now tempted to write it off altogether for my newer system and just retain the still functional DD11 on my earlier (MBR - BIOS) based machines.
However, any further help or advice you could offer to enable me to regain functionality of DD12 (whilst retaining full usage of TI2016) would be most welcome and would encourage me to go ahead with purchasing the upgrade from 11 to 12 for all threee of my PCs.

I tested several scenarios (Upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 (GPT disk/UEFI loader), Upgrade Acronis Disk Disrector from 11 to 12, with/without Acronis True Image 2014/2016 installed) on physical environment and was unable to reproduce the issue.

However, I have today adopted an alternative strategy and the 'unsupported' problem (with DD12 trial and GPT Disks) IS NOW FULLY RESOLVED!.
Both GPT & MBR disks now fully recognised and (presumably) amenable to management by DD12 in Windows 10 (64). Not sure how I've ended up with MBR disks in what started as a UEFI fully GPT system - but anyway it seems success. What I did? -
As this had only occurred recently since trying to install the upgrade DD12 over DD11 on a relatively high spec system only six weeks old, I recovered the system back to immediately following installation of the DD11 early January (using WIN10 recovery disc and system image - avoided using True Image!) and immediately uninstalled it without even opening. I then installed DD12 trial and everything seems to be now fully functional - both GPT and MBR disks recognised in Windows 10.
I can only think that overlooking the need to fully un- install DD11 prior to first upgrade to DD12 attempt - and indeed using DD11 to partition and rename new external drives on the new EUFI/GPT system left elements of 11 around which were incompatible with DD12 and maybe even converted one of the internal disks from GPT to MBR. Can't think of any alternative explanation.
It might be useful if ACRONIS laid greater emphasis on the need to fully uninstall older versions of this software prior to attempts to install DD12!
Indeed it would be useful if ACRONIS would show some consistency across their range of products in this regard - True Image 2016 fits perfectly over TI2014 without the need to un-install.
I would fully endorse the views expressed by a number of expert reviewers of Acronis Disk Director that it is a very powerful tool for use by technically expert users - but that, in the hands of the inexperienced/less expert (including me) it can also be very dangerous! I was lucky in that my system was only recently acquired, still in its 'burn-in' stages and I avoided the possible loss of data and apps/programmes which a total historical recovery might necessarily entail.
Just used DD-12 on a Win-10 OS to clone a 500GB HD to a new 2-TB HD. Worked flawlessy!!! Happy camper!
DD12 Build 3223 says Volume 1 is unsupported. I am using Windows 10 UEFI file system. Volume 1 is my internal hard drive. Volume 2 is my external hard drive, which is not UEFI.
I tried to update to Build 3270, which supposedly includes UEFI support but got 'an error occurred during the installaation of assembly Microsoft.VC80CRT.'
Acronis Knowledgebase referred me to an MS hotfix but the hotfix was not for the error message displayed. Also I could not download the hotfix; I was asked to contact MS support and possibly pay for the hotfix.
Carioca Rummy is a program developed by Microsoft. The main program executable is mscarioca.exe. The software installer includes 4 files and is usually about 1.9 MB (1,993,612 bytes). 
Any suggestions for fixing the above problem would be appreciated.

Have you tried applying my solution (described in a post earlier in this conversation, posted 12th January 2016 at 12:08) (although I didn't get your Microsoft assembly error)?
I think the key thing is to wipe everything clean (ie uninstall both products) then reinstall. Make sure you have your product registration codes to hand!

Same issues on my side. DDS 12 shows my 2 2TB internal and 3TB external hardisks as GPT basic unsupported. True Image 2016 gives no problems at all (I use Acronis Secure zone on 1 of the two 2TB disks for backup). Tried uninstall en reinstall of ADD 12 and ATIH 2016 latest versions with no results whatsoever. Reason I use GPT is because I use a 3 TB external HDD to store videofiles and MBR does not support 3 TB and GPT is a more reliable filesystem.

I wish I'd read the comments about DD12 before I forked out $48. Acronis seems to be getting worse about claiming what their products support, only to leave the user with a broken piece of software. I bought DD12 upgrade because I got an 'unsupported' message with DD11.

Yes, I have the latest update. DD11 was not installed on my system, I disabled my anti-virus and disabled the Acronis Backup Service process. I've tried three times - no go.
